Can I Bring Jewelry I Bought Somewhere Else?
Hmmm maybe. But probably not.
In general, we don’t like to use jewelry bought outside of our studio because there are just too many questions; exactly what material is it made of? (not all titanium/steel/gold is body safe) What condition is it in? What is the polish like? Has it been worn before? Can it be properly sterilized? Is it even going to be the right style or fit for your specific anatomy? Because of these questions and associated risks, more often than not we cannot use jewelry you bring in.
If the jewelry you’re hoping to use is bought from another APP or equally reputable studio, and we can verify the quality, condition, and fit, then the chances we can use it are much better, but still not guaranteed. We always recommend checking with us before buying so we can check if we’ll be able to use it. It can be hard to sift through all of the options available if you don’t have the training and knowledge!
Can I Reuse Jewelry I Bought from You?
Yes - but with some things to keep in mind.
One of the many great aspects of the quality of jewelry we carry, is that it’s meant to last forever! And we’re happy to help you get the most use and lifespan out of your investment, but because we want to make sure we’re keeping things as safe and clean as possible for our clients, there are a few limitations:
- We can reuse parts that have NOT been worn directly inside of a piercing; so the ENDS from a barbell/flat back post but NOT the barbell/flat back post itself. We can reuse the BEAD/GEM from a captive bead ring but not the ring itself.
- Jewelry needs to be dropped off at least 48 HOURS before your appointment to be processed
- This only applies to reusing jewelry to get pierced with, if you're wanting it put in a healed piercing you're good to go
- Please reach out if you need any of this clarified.
- We can't reuse parts that are not the appropriate size/style for the piercing you're wanting to use it in
